How to Use the PPS Harvest Tagging Station

 

 

 

 




  • First make sure the hook weight is Tared out and the scale weighs -7.8lbs
  • If no tare weight is entered – press 7.8 on numeric keypad – followed by “Tare” key

 

 

  • To open a Harvest – Press ‘OPEN LOT’
  • Screen will show all available Farmers scheduled for that day. Select the Farmer of the animal

 

 

  • Once you have selected the Farmer the farmers name will appear at the bottom with the ‘LOT NUMBER” and Carcass being worked on for reference. If this is not the Farmer and Carcass being worked on – go back to ‘OPEN LOT’ and select correct one.
  • If Beef Carcass – Press Grade and select Over or Under 30 Months

 

 

  • Roll Carcass onto scale so weight is displayed…Press ‘Animal ID’ and enter Animal Ear Tag Number
  • If doing sides or quarters Put ear tag number followed by A, B, C, D etc
  • Once Animal Ear Tag number has been entered – press ‘DONE’
  • Label will print out with all information needed
  • Screen will refresh with info on the Carcass/sides/quarters inserted into the data grid
  • When all Carcass sides or quarters have been weighed press ‘CLOSE LOT’
